Manager of SEC Reporting

Description: We are currently seeking a Manager of SEC Reporting to join our corporate accounting group located near Addison and California on Chicago's north side. This individual will be responsible for managing the following areas:
• SEC financial reporting including responsibility for 10-K's, 10-Q's, S-3's and all other SEC filings
• Analysis and documentation of technical accounting matters
• Assisting external auditors with quarterly reviews, annual audit and 401K audit
• Accounting function for our corporate entity
• Acquisition integration and other business changes
• Audit Committee communications process
• SFAS 123R accounting and reporting
• Enhancing and automating accounting and reporting processes
• SOX 404 controls for SEC reporting and corporate entity accounting
• Coaching and mentoring accounting staff
Job Requirements:
Requirements:
• A thorough knowledge of GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
• A minimum of 5 to 7 years of public accounting experience or 7 to 10 years of experience in both public accounting and SEC reporting
• Passed the Uniform Certified Public Accountant (CPA) examination
• A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Acute attention to detail
• Superior organization skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Proven leadership ability
